What is a quartz countertop?
Quartz worktops are engineered surfaces made mostly from crushed natural quartz bound with resin. Because they are manufactured, the colour and pattern are consistent from slab to slab, and the surface is non-porous, so it does not need sealing.
Quartz should be protected from very hot pans (always use a trivet) and is not usually recommended for outdoor areas in direct sun.
